Anti-Bullying Program
Snapper Creek Elementary has a policy against student bullying. Bullying includes all the behaviors associated with physical, social and verbal abuse. All behaviors that causes suffering and anguish to others. It is documented that bullying has long-term negative effects and it is not in the best interest of the bully, target, bystanders and society.
Snapper Creek Elementary has an Anti-Bullying Campaign and program of intervention that teaches children how to sop inappropriate bullying behaviors. It teaches children acceptable social, communication, assertiveness and problem-solving skills. Every student is required to follow the rules and treat others with kindness and respect. No one has the right to cause psychological distress to a student or staff member. These rules will be emphasized and enforced during the school year. The students who do not stop all forms of hurtful bullying behaviors will be subject to consequences set forth by the student Code of Conduct and school discipline police. Bullying is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Parents will be notified of their child's chronic bullying behaviors and will be required to participate in a plan to stop the bullying.
