Small group guidance activities are provided at Snapper Creek Elementary which promote interpersonal skills, self-sufficiency and responsible group membership.

Students at Snapper Creek Elementary can participate in various age appropriate group sessions such as:

"Understanding Differences" - helping students understand the reasons for customs they themselves practice and to begin to value diverse cultures. The students later start focusing on the similarities, common interests and goals all people share.

"Working on Me" - helps students understand feelings and emotions. They learn to manage their emotions and control and channel their actions.

"Girl Groups" - this groups primary goal is to help pre-pubescent young girls deal with friendship issues such as gossiping, fighting, popularity, being left out, etc.

"Entering Middle School" - helping 5th grade student understand and adjust to the future expectations of middle school.
